1. Introduction: MIFENG 995 Structural Silicone Sealant is a single component, neutral cure elastic sealant that has high chemical stability. It can be used at any time under -25 to +50 degree centigrade temperature. It can maintain an even viscosity and can be easily squeezed out. The product has the following unique features. 1).It can produce good adhesion without using any primer and can be used to most materials such as glass, metal, granite and japanning metal, including most of fluorocarbon paint. After complete solidification, the sealant film can form a durable and elastic waterproof interface. 2). Long storage period. 3). No corrosion to products. 4). Forms strong and elastic silicone rubber. 5). For structural configuration, please send material sample and drawings to Dongsheng factory for testing and review. 2. Application Limits: MIFENG 995 Structural Silicone Sealant cannot be applied to following situation: 1). Materials that can penetrate oil, plasticizer or solvent. These materials include oil-soaked wood, oil based steel board slot, certain un-sulfurized or partly sulfurized rubber pad, and adhesive tape etc. 2). Sealed location. (Silicone needs moisture in the air forsolidification). 3). Material surface that is higher than 50 degree centigrade or lower than 5 degree centigrade. 4). Underground that is damp all through the years. 5). Surface that directly exposes to food. Relevant tests are not carried out to verify whether this silicone sealant is conformed to standards of Food & Drug Administration of China. 4. Physical Function: MIFENG 995 Structural Silicone Sealant cannot be influence by sunray, rain, wind, wind, snow, atmosphere contamination, ultraviolet radiation, ozone, or extremely high or low temperature. Its outstanding weatherproof property makes the sealing unchanged for many years event under tough environment. The operational performance of the joint will never change or prominently because of aging or exposure to air and the sealing can always keep good waterproof and weatherproof ability. After solidification, it can maintain good elasticity when temperature drops under -40 degree centigrade or rises up to +150 degree centigrade and will never become fragility, cracked or torn. MIFENG 995 Structural Silicone Sealant is compatible with most reflecting glass and insulting glass. 5. Structural Joint Design: The silicone structural joint design should be done by professional designer under general designing guidelines of construction industry. Designing guidelines for basic silicone structural joint include the followings. 1).The width for structural sealant cannot be barrower than 6mm. 2). The depth for structural sealant cannot be lesser than 6mm. 3). The width for structural sealant must be equal to or bigger than the depth for structural sealant. 4). Formula for calculating the width of structural sealant. 5). The joint of structural sealant must be able to be filled by normal operation method. 6). The joint of structural sealant cannot move during solidification period. 7). The structural sealant must be exposed to air for better solidification. Cautions: Special system may need special designing guideline. The best guideline for such system varies with actual design.
